My Research Interests

My area of research covers marine optics and marine physics, with a focus on coastal, estuarine and fjord systems. A special interest is the usage of marine (smart) sensors and their integration in operational, long-term autonomous sensor systems and observatories, as well as subsequent and on-line data analysis.

My Objectives in CoastCarb

Exploring the possibilities of bringing state-of-the-art optical sensors on new platforms (e.g. gliders) for improved process understanding. Developing robust long-term observation solutions for remote environments.
