My Research Interests

I am a comparative Ecophysiologist. My main research focuses on mechanisms of adaptation and limitation in various life stages of marine animals. I want to identify bottlenecks in the life history of species considering drivers such as temperature, hypoxia and ocean acidification. I am further interested to integrate physiological data on various life stages into models for future projections of distribution shifts of sub-polar and Polar species in a changing world.

My Objectives in CoastCarb

  • investigate physiological to genetic responses of various life stages of commercially important species to combined environmental stressors in different populations to assess the adaptation potential of the species.
  • Training in applying Eco physiological methods to early life stages.
