Sonorous Antarctica
The CoastCarb program of the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) of Germany and The Dynamic Research Center for High Latitude Marine Ecosystems (IDEAL) of the Austral University of Chile (UACh) have launched Sonorous Antarctica, an international scientific dissemination project that connects marine acoustics, literature, and art.
It is a sound album book, an exhibition of the original illustrations in Chile and Germany and the interactive website www.antarticasonora.cl, from where it is possible to listen to the audiobook and find pedagogical material. It will soon be available in English and German.
In just three months, more than 5,500 users have entered the website www.antarticasonora.cl; more than 40 media have published a news story about the project and more than 1,200 people have downloaded the book in Spanish.
We invite you to learn the story of Ana and Maruja and download the book for free from here.
