My Research Interests

My research interests are in the area of marine metazoan diversity and how this changes spatially and temporally due to geographic boundaries or oceanographic parameters.

My Objectives in CoastCarb

With our research, we contribute to a better understanding of the marine metazoan community compositions and shifts along the Beagle Channel as well as vertical distributions. We would like to establish a standardized molecular method in order to complement traditional plankton net sampling. Together with oceanographic parameters like salinity and temperature, our aim is to understand the physicochemical requirements of taxa and maybe even predict the future distribution of taxa under changing environmental conditions.
