My research as a Biologist focuses on determining and mapping the habitat distribution of the Antarctic fjord benthic community and on understanding its potential changes in response to rapid environmental changes, experienced in tidewater glacier marine ecosystems. The use of underwater videos and photos combined with space-time environmental parameters allows us to know more with less environmental impact by applying Species Distribution Models.
As a member of WP1, my participation on the development of a Data Information System and my knowledge on the application of GIS technics are crucial to succeed in my WP2-research. This is based on the use of ecological models as Species Distribution Models to determine species-specific climate niche. I am also responsible, as a member of WP5, for scientific communication through the management of Social Media account as Twitter @CoastCarb
