My Research Interests

My area of study is related to the Effect of Climate Change on Antarctic Macroalgae. I am particularly interested in the diversity and taxonomy of macroalgae. My doctoral thesis aims to study the communities, biomass and cover of macroalgae in Potter Cove. As well as to study the phenological aspects and the effects of the temperature on keys species of Antarctic macroalgae.

My Objectives in CoastCarb

• To study the responses of key macroalgae species in phenology and ecophysiology to environmental changes (WP3) • To contribute to the knowledge of the macroalgal production of Potter Cove ecosystem (WP4)
