My Research Interests

I study pelagic-benthic coupling and climate change impacts in coastal ecosystems along the Antarctic Peninsula, including West Antarctic Peninsula Fjords, the open continental shelf, and areas recently exposed by ice-shelf breakout in the Weddell Sea. Our work includes multi-year studies and ecosystem modeling along transects down fjords (FjordEco Project), along sea-ice gradients (FOODBANCS and FOODBANCS2 Projects), and along gradients of time since ice-shelf breakout (LARISSA Project).

My Objectives in CoastCarb

I will provide data and synthetic input to ecosystem modeling, identification of key climate-change related metrics and stressors, and providing and synthesizing data relevant to carbon storage along the Antarctic Peninsula, particularly in fjords.
