General hydrography and circulation of subantarctic regions, with a particular focus on the Beagle Channel. I am interested in seasonal and interannual patterns of water column stratification, the underlying forcings and the consequences for the marine environment (e.g. coastal hypoxia).
To advance in the comprehension of the physical environment of the Beagle Channel. To cooperate with international partners in setting up observational platforms and surveys in the study area, in order to describe the circulation patterns and hydrographical features at different temporal and spatial scales.
